In life we must have hopes and dreams, whether it's an ideal, or want to have something that we don't have. In English, hope means hope and dream means dream, both have the same meaning.
Hopes and Dreams is something we want to happen and we have to work hard to make it happen. But we will not know for sure when Hopes and Dreams will come true.
The ways for expressing hopes and dreams
To express hopes and dreams we need the verb hope and wish (dream). How is hope different from wish? If hope is usually used to express goodwill, if wish is an impossible thing it can happen.
Hope is something that we want to happen and we work very hard for it to happen. But we are not sure whether it will happen or not and sometimes we can’t do anything about it. Hopes and dreams signal future intentions (Ben, 2012)
The verb ‘hope’ is to express:
- An event that possibly happened (past)
- A event that will possibly happen (future)
To say what you hope about the past, you use the simple past:
- I hope she found the restaurant.
- I hope he passed his class last semester.
To say what you hope about the present, you use the present:
- I hope he‘s all right.
- I hope he knows where the clinic is.
- I hope he‘s having a good time in Florida.
- I hope he likes Italian food.
To say what you hope about the future, you use the present (or the future, although it is less common)
- I hope he has a good time in Florida next month. (I hope he’ll have a good time in Florida next month.)
- I hope she comes to see us when she passes through New York.(I hope she’ll come to see us when she passes through New York.)
How to express our hopes:
a. Sentence structure to express hope using ”ing verbs”.

f there are important people in front of me I will share my opinion, to be honest I have a lot of opinions.
Indeed, my thinking is still not able to reach the limits of government, but I want to say that there are many people out there who are still short of assets and possessions.
Increasing employment opportunities from supporting sectors may help this problem a little
education is also very important in pushing the Indonesian nation towards a more advanced direction. However, there are still not many and realize how important education is.
So I hope to improve the quality and make school fees easier because there are still many who want to go to school but there is no money
And job opportunities are better increased, I hope that in the community there should be teaching about creativity to process an object into an object that has a price or can be sold.
Then, I hope that the public and the government will make good use of the tourist spots in Indonesia to invite tourists to come to Indonesia.
